  13. Actually they have announced the release of the 21164A (notice the A) =
  14. 366 MHz daughter board for the Raptor Systems.
  15. Expected to be shipping in March 96.

  17. Most of the other manufactures will take some time to release an =
  18. equivalent system. This is due to the need for them to completely redo =
  19. their mother boards designs in order to incorporate the new chips.  If =
  20. you have the need for speed and flexibility, DeskStation design =
  21. continues to be the best overall system available.

  23. Also in response to Carrera's recent posting that they have a 366 Mhz =
  24. systems DeskStation asked me to post the following:

  26. Please let the Lightwave list know that the 366MHZ from Carrera is  a
  27. clocked up EV5. Doing this voids DEC's warranty. The announcement we put =
  28. out
  29. is the new EV56 and is an actual a productised part from DEC. The =
  30. Carrera
  31. EV5/366 is not a productised offering  from DEC.=20
